I hate to say it but Facebook is a form of medication, we need it daily to work properly. Now before you hand out all the negtivities about why it's not, let me tell you something special about medications. They are good..when needed in small but concentrated doses. The give us a feeling of security and familiarity when seeing pictures that touches our hearts, and quotes about life that give enought motivation to keep living, also finding and talking to likeminded people who are not always in reach that help us to feel at easy with who we really are inside and let it colour our filters into colours we really want to them to be in. When we need a break we might watch videoclips of cute animals to kind of recharge our selves. Nothing wrong with good intentions right?
But just like with medications, in too many high doses you'll start feeling like you need more in a way that is compensating for parts of your life that you are ashamed of. Everything turns the other way, all these pictures have now turned into active reminders of why you and your life sucks and why you should never get out there and do what you love, because you think that you don't deserve it enough compared to everyone else out there, for example that guy that can paint with his toes makes you feel that you should never even look at a pencil again because you're not as awesome as him.
Let me remind you of what you are actually comparing your self to. It's the character you see in a moving picture with mood enhancing music to give the impression that he really is awesome, 10 minutes or so of this persons chosen perspective and not his life. Even this man who made it might give a thought or two that this character seem to have a better life than he does. It's nothing more than a form of expression. Nothing more. So don't beat your life up because of someones chosen expression. They did not put it out there to mock you, I personally believe that they did it to inspire or to show something simply put.
Only you have the power to choose how it will affect you. Please use it wisely and give your self a moment to think on your own as well, because in the end, only you knows what you choose to do and what is right for you.
Never forget that what you see online are expressions from other peoples chosen ares of perspectives oftentimes activated by others expressions or perspectives and so on. Like a chain reaction.
